Amanda Davidson is a well known local artist. Having trained at Brighton College of Art in Art and Design, she now teaches at The Whiteway Centre in Rottingdean.Classes range from Mixed Media and Life Drawing to Botanical drawing and paining. Amanda’s Art Classes are popular and she has many pupils who have been with her for some years. She has a perceptive outlook, tailoring her critique of other artists work to their individual needs. She encourages artwork in pen and ink, watercolour, acrylics and mixed media among other techniques and gives demonstrations to show what can be successfully achieved.
Amanda recently left The Grange Art Gallery and Museum (former home of artist William Nicholson).
She has recently mounted an exhibition of work by students from The Rottingdean Whiteway Centre where she has taught for 20 years.
Her work took her to Brighton Housing Trust’s Base Fest programme last year and Amanda guided a group at BHT’s First Base one of their rehabilitation programmes to help create the successful Base Fest One and Two at The Friends Centre. Amanda has also been a member of The Brunswick Festival Volunteer Team for twelve years. The Festival celebrates is 35 Birthday in August!
